Thanks for your comment Donette. I feel sure that you will get a reponse from some of our readers. Twitter and Facebook pages are to come for the Welsh Disability Forum, you'll see then flagged up some time soon.

You may be interested to see the platform developed by the comapny who produces the forum. The company is called Welsh Focus, they are a communications agency campaigning on disability issues right across Wales. Their site is here- www.welshfocus.co.uk, an active Facebook newsfeed and Ttwitter feed are in operation on their platform.

I hardly drop responses, however after reading through a few of the responses here The Closure of Remploy Factories—Let Down by Two Governments – welsh disability forum. I actually do have 2 questions for you if it's okay. Is it only me or does it look like like some of these remarks look as if they are coming from brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are posting at other online social sites, I would like to follow you. Would you make a list of the complete urls of all your shared sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?

Remember how successful the drivers' blockades of the refineries was. DPAC is doing excellent work bringing everyone together and taking positive action. Snag is I live in rural Norfolk and, as a wheelchair user, the London actions are inaccessible. That must also apply to thousands of other disabled people who would be ready to take action. Perhaps we could organise local positive action?

Heddwch.

Brilliant stuff. Well done, all you Disabled Activists. I wish I had been there...handcuffed, blocking Regents Street. Unfortunately I am out of the country. We need more of these blockades (Downing Street, Houses of Parliament, BBC television and broadcasting centres etc.) to make the Con-Dem government that our protests are serious, and we will disrupt as much as necessary to force the anti-disabled regime from destroying our freedom and independent living.

It has long been an urgent need to have Disability Awareness and Equality lessons in Primary Schools, they should be part of the school curriculum right from the start, through to Secondary Education; by doing so we would take away the stigmas of impairments and any other unequalities, and by doing so integrate a more cohesive society automatically.

Hi Vin, thank you Simon for your excellent indepth response; firstly this site is funded totally by myself and colleague Damien Chick, although we are applying for grants to fund us, none have yet been gained. The NHS, like any other organisation are welcome to use this site as an information gathering tool. I have never been described as a fig leaf before, if I am I will be gone by Autumn. I most certainly work independently from any organisation that I belong to in my own time; I do my best to support the organisations I am a member of, and progress their causes and campaigns; I would never bring any negative criticiscm to any organisations I belong too; the Social Model is always at the forefront on any issues I champion; I do also abide by the "Seven Nolan Princibles of Public Office".
